Emma M. Anderson, age 96 of the Dubre community, died December 20, 2011 at the Metcalfe Co. Healthcare Center. She was a homemaker and a daughter of the late George Benton and Ida Crews Branstetter. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by one son, Bobby (Mardell ) Anderson of Dubre, grandchildren, Larry Anderson, Jesse Gid Anderson, Sherry Perdue, James Thomas Anderson and Beth Anderson; several great grandchildren also survive; sister, Ruby Burge of Elizabethtown ad half sister, Dorothy Milburn of Ariz., daughter -in-law Bronda Anderson
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gid Anderson, son, James Thomas Anderson, brother, Pete Branstetter and granddaughter, Sheila Short.
Funeral serices will be Friday, Dec. 23 at 10:00 AM at the McMurtrey Funeral Home with Bro. Freddie Froedge officiating. Burial will follow in the Summer Shade Cemetery.

Clara Lee Garmon, age 89 of Tompkinsville, died Sunday, December 11 2011 at Hospice of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green. She was a daughter of the late Jesse Knerr and Mabel Howard Hie and was a member of the Oak Hill Church of Christ.
She is survived by two daughters, Cheryl (Bobby ) Richardson of Tompkinsille and Darlene Mitchell of Glasgow; one step daughter, Ruthie (Danny ) Jessie of Edmonton; one son, Leslie (Gloria ) Kell of Franklin; seventeen grandchildren and twenty two great grandchildren.

Lola Runell Spear
Lola Runell Spear, age 82 of Bowling Green passed away Sunday, October 9, 2011 at her home. She was born in Cumberland Co. to the late John Ed and Katherine Anderson Smith. Her early life was spent in Willow Shade when in 1950, she moved to Summer Shade, Ky. In 1978 she moved to Haywood, Ky. and in 1989 moved to Bowling Green, Ky where she lived until her death.
She was a loving, caring person and was always willing to help in any way she could.
She is survived by her son and his wife, Gene and Phyllis Spear, a grandson and his wife, David and Sara Spear and a granddaughter and her husband, Jennifer and Kelly Holt all of Bowling Green. She is also survived by three beautiful great grandchildren, Emily, Abby and Alex Holt.
In addition to her parents,she was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Spear, a son, GaryWayne Spear and four brothers, Eather, Wilkie, Trumon and Sammie Smith and their spouses.

Elizabeth Earline Pitcock, age 91 of Summer Shade, died Tuesday, Sepltember 13, 2011 at T J Samson Community Hospital. She was a daughter of the late Richard Bridges and Viola Vance Houchens. She was a member of the Summer Shade Missiponary Baptist Church where she taught Sundaay School for many years. She was retired from Ky. Pants and was the best fried pie maker in Summer Shade.
She is survived by a daughter, Betty Jean (Mark) Millerof Eighty Eight, a daughter-in-law, Della Pitcockof Summer Shade; grandchildren, Karen Sue (Louie) Hicks, In., Jeff (Lucinda) Pitcock of Summer Shade, Bettina (Mike) Wilson of Temple Hill, Vince (Mandy) Miller of Elizabethtown; great grandchildren,Josh Pitcock, Haley Pitcock, Brittany (David) Wade, Brandon Pickett, Jessica(Chet) Ellis, Nicholas and Christian Martin, Savanna Napper and Dakota Wilson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband, Elzie Pitcock, son, J.D. Pitcock, grandson, Tony Miller and two brothers, Robert and Benny Ray Houchens.
Funeral services will be Thursday, Sept. 15 at 2:00 PM at the McMurtrey Funeral home with Bro Paul Roy officiating. Burial will follow in the Summer Shade Cemetery.

Gary David Birge, age 70 of Summer Shade, died Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at Glasgow Health & Rehab. He was a son of the late Ned and Mabel Gramlin Birge and was a former employee of Dana Corp. He was of the Baptist Faith.

Nelton Norris Garmon, age 86 of Glasgow, died Friday, April 22 at the Glenview Health Care Facility. The retired farmer was a son of the late Herbert and Mamie Norris Garmon. He was a member of the Refuge Church of Christ, an avid mule enthusiast and a member of the Barren Co Saddle Club. He was a WW II Veteran.

Billy Lee Williams
Billy Lee Williams, age 55 of the Sulphur Lick Community, Tompkinsville,died Friday, Feb.11 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green. He was a son of the late Ruel and Marie Stephens Williams.
He is survived by his wife,Lisa Howard Williams; three sons. Brandon Williams of Mt.Hermon;Joseph Williams and Matthew Williams both of Tompkinsville; one sister, Jonell Hood and husband, Douglas of Tompkinsville and one brother, Charlie Lewis Williams and wife, Janice of Tompkinsville; two grandchildren, Jayden and Ryan Williams.
In addition to his parents, He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Rose Geralds.
Funeral services will be Monday, Feb. 14 at 2:00 PM at the McMurtrey Funeral Home with burial to follow in the White Cemetery.
Visitation will begin Sunday, Feb. 13 at 1:00 PM at the funeral home.

Minnie Girtle Huff, age 93 of Edmonton, formerly of Willow Shade, died Wednesday, February 9 at Metcalfe Co. Health Care Center. She was a homemaker and daughter of the late Filmore and Mary Huff Brown and widow of the late Taylor Huff.
She is survived by three daughters, Betty Neilander and husband, Philip of Indiana, Rachel Ballard of Edmonton and Shelia Garmon of Marrowbone; two sons, Stevie Huff of Willow Shade and Bobby Huff of Summer Shade; one sister, Pauline Brown of Tompkinsville; twenty five grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter,Linda Huff and two sons, Marvin and Donald Huff, three sisters and two brothers.

Alma MayWillis, age 95 of Glasgow and formerly of the Edmonton area, died Saturday, February 05,2011 at NHC Healthcare in Glasgow. She was a homemaker and a daughter of the late Pate and Tabby McIntyre.
She is survived by two grandchildren, Jeremy Garmon and wife,Crystal of Edmonton and Allison Poindexter and husband, Eugene of Glasgow; three great grandchildren, Jase Garmon, Jesse and Lauren Poindexter.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Willis, three sisters, Beulah Estes, Stella McIntyre and Nina Davis and five brothers, Barney, Zeke, Eris, Creed and Frank McIntyre.

James Harold Hoover
James Harold Hoover, age 82, of Glasgow,died Monday, Jan. 17, 2011 at the T J Samson Community Hospital. He was a son of the late Harry Lee Hoover and Fidella Grissom Hoover Jessie. He was retired from the City of Edmonton and was a Veteran of the U S Army.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Robertson Hoover of Glasgow; one daughter, Carolyn Conover of Glasgow.
Funeral services will be Thursday, Jan. 20 at 1:00 PM at the McMurtrey Funeral Home with Bro Jeff Lile officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Travis C, (Ball ) Shaw, age 81 of WillowShade, died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011 at the T J Samson Community Hospital. He was a retired farmer and son of the late Johnny and Rosa Vibbert Shaw. He was a member of the Willow Shade Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Reba Propes Shaw; one son,Larry (Judy) Shaw of Willow Shade; one grandson, Daniel Shaw of Willow Shade; two great grandchildren, Roselyn Grace Shaw and Madelyn Faith Shaw.

She was born in Center Point,Ky. to Elmer and Ova (Hammer ) Waller.
Mildred was a retired school teacher and a long time member of the Shively Church of Christ.
She is survived by her son, Terry (Margaret Anne)Smith of Louisv ille; two grandsons, Shannon and Brian Smith; two great grandsons, Shane and Chaz Smith and one sister, Louise Walker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Trumon Smith and two brothers.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Sunday at the Willow Shade Church of Christ with burial to follow in the Summer Shade Cemetery.
