Pauline Hagan Bryant, age 87 of Edmonton, formerly of Summer Shade, died Saturday, May 28 at Metcalfe Health Care Center. She was a homemaker and a daughter of the late Charlie and Lucy Delk Hagan. She was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Marilyn (Danny ) Melloan of Edmonton; one grandson, Daniel (Erin ) Gilleyof Edmonton.
In addition to her parents,she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie G. Bryant, one sister, Nadine Grider and five brothers, Chester,Garnett, Shelly, Clifton and Harlie Hagan.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 31 at 1:00 PM at the McMurtrey Funeral Home with Dr. Gary Ervin officiating. Burial will follow in the Summer Shade Cemetery.
Visitation will begin Monday, May 30 at 3:00 PM.

Almeda June Flowers
Almeda June Flowers, age 83, of Summer Shade, died Thursday, May 26, 2011 at NHC of Glasgow. She was a Cumberland Co. native and the daughter of the late Benton and Maudie Capps King. She was of the Methodist Faith.
She is survived by two sons, Dr. Robert (Peggy) Flowers of Burkesville and Danny (Jamie) Flowers of Summer Shade; two grandchildren, Dr. Kristy Flowers Poindexter (Stephen) of Burkesville and Dr. Robert Flowers, Jr. (Nancy) of Wise, Va: one great grandchild, Macey Poindexter.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Flowers and one brother, Waymon King.
Funeral services will be Monday, May 30 at 10:00 A.M. at the McMurtrey Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in the Perkins Cemetery.
Visitation will begin Sunday, May 29 at 3:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Mary Belle Shive
Mary Belle Shive, age 91 of Summer Shade, died Thursday, May 19 at the Metcalfe Health Care Center. She was the daughter of the late Henry and Lottie Evans Estes and a former employee of the Topps Manufacturing. She was a member of the Mt.Moriah Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by two sons, Teddy(Ann) Shive and Gary (Lou) Shive both of Summer Shade. one daughter-in-law, Inez Shive of Glasgow; grandchildren, Ricky (Monye) Shive, Shannon (Sherry) Shive, Pam (Mark) Ford, David (Ashley) Shive, Erica (Moe) Hensley, Kimberly (Zack) Coleman and Mark (Lesley) Shive; great grandchildren, Jared and Jannah Shive, Kaden Shive, Alex Shive,Tatum and Max Hensley, Kelly and MacKenzie Coleman; step great grandchildren, Kaleb and Will Broady Spillman.
