Truman Lester ( T.L.) Moody, age 86 of Tompkinsville, died Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at the Monroe Co.Health Care Center.
He was a retired carpenter and a son of the late Fred and Maddie Barksdale Moody.
He is survived by a step-son, Richard Pipkin of Springfield,Il; two sisters, Georgia Moody of Tompkinsville and Iva Coe of Indianapolis,In; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Baliey Moody, two
brothers,Marvin and Willie T. Moody,and one sister, Nettie Kate Baliey.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Dec.29 at1:00 PM at the McMurtrey Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Bushong Cemetery.

Kyle Edward Ballard, age 76, of Tompkinsville, formerly of Summer Shade, died Dec. 24, 2012, at his home. He was a farmer and a son of the late Radford and Sally Fansler Ballard.

Billy Carol Wilborn, age 63 of Indianapolis, died there Sunday Dec.23 at his home. He was a self employed mechanic and a son of the late Leo and Thelma Miller Wilborn.
He is survived by one daughter, Julie (Chris ) Blythe of Tompkinsville; two sons, Joey (Katie ) Wilborn of Glasgow and Ben Wilborn of Summer Shade. Nine grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer Lynn Wilborn.
There will be no funeral service, as cremation was chosen. A private burial will be at a later date.

Co. Health Care Center. He was a retired truck driver and a son of the late Hastel and Brentz England. He was a member of the South Edmonton Church of Christ and a US Army Veteran, having served in the Korean Conflict. He was past commander and member of the VFW Post 6281 of Edmonton.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Hood England; one daughter, Marla Jean Cahill ( Ivan Arney ) of Guston, Ky; three sons, David England, Madison NC, Jeffrey H. The Monroe Co. native was a daughter of the late Harley and Eva Gentry Billingsley and wife of the late Gerald Wilborn. She was a retired employee of the Monroe Co. Medical Center and was a member of the Union# 2 Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Connie Garrett (Ivan Wright) of Summer Shade; one granddaughter, Kim Lambert (Owen) of Glasgow; one great gandchild, Kaci Johnson (Seth Ray); two great great grandsons, Landon Wilkerson and Aidin Adwell; two sisters,Sally Grenead of Summer Shade and Ruth Compton (William) of Indianapolis; one brother, Richard Billingsley of Tn; special friend, Huey Frazier.

Earnest retired from Ford Meter Box inWabash, after 37 years.He was a member of theNational Rifle Association. He enjoyed fishng, hunting, going to casinos, playing the lottery and collecting stamps.

John David Brittain II, age 71 of Willow Shade, died Tuesday, Oct. 16 at home. He was a son of the late John David Brittain I and Rosemary James Brittain. He attended the Beaumont Methodist Church and was a retired Tinsmith in the Automotive Industry.
He was a member of the Gold Wing Chapter of Kokomo and Local 292 Auto Workers Union in Kokomo. He was a Master Mason of New London 283 in London, In.
He is survived by two sons, Michael (Barbara) Brittain of Frankfort, In. and John David (Stephanie) Brittain III of Kokomo, In; grandchildren, Drake, Christina, and Jackson Brittain and Cassidy (Justin) Bailey and great granddaughter, Kaydence Bailey.
He is survived by a previous wife, Sandra Ann Warner, special friends and caregivers, Aurora Hayes and Joyce Pedigo as well as friends, Neil Ward and Donald and Bessie Howard.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Weldon Yokashi and one sister, Barbara Jean Brittain.
Funeral services will be Fri. Oct.19 at 2:00 PM at the McMurtrey Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Howard officiating. Cremation will follow. Visitation will begin Fri. Oct.19 at 7:00 AM until time for service.

Marcella Vibbert Dodson, age 61 of Summer Shade, died Wednesday, Oct. 3 2012 at the Monroe Co. Medical Center. She was a daughter of the late Thomas and Era Elmore Vibbert and a member of the Cedar Flat Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Timothy Mark Ballard, age 49 of Glasgow, died Sunday, September 30, 2012 at the T J Samson Community Hospital. He is a son of Shirley Ballard of Summer Shade and Kyle Ballard of Tompkinsville. He worked in construction but had been disabled for a number of years.

Roy Harlan Grider, age 90 of Summer Shade, died Monday, September 17, 2012 at the T J Samson Community Hospital. He was the son of the late Victor and Laura Holloway Grider and a Veteran of WW 11.
He was a Godly man, having been dedicated to his wife of 67 years, Doris Pedigo Grider and a Sunday School Teacher at Missionary Mound Baptist Church where he attended for many years.
He was president of the Bank of Summer Shade and a director of the Edmonton State Bank. He was a farmer and was involved in many community activities..
In addition to his wife, he was survived by two grandchildren, Laura Marie Grider and Bradley Thomas Grider of Nashville,Tn; a daughter in law, Peggy Bartley Grider Webb of Hendersonville, Tn .Several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Tommy Grider, sister,Lucille Carder, brothers, Robert, Randall and E.W.Grider.

RALPH ALRIED HICKS, age 85 of Glasgow, died Thursday, July 26 at the T J Samson Community Hospital. He was a retired truck driver and son of the late Charlie and Anna Criswell Hicks. He was a member of the Trinity Southern Baptist Church of Indiana.
He is survived by five daughters, Frances (Ed) Adkins of Temple Hill, Barbara (Darrell) Hurt of Summer Shade, Sheila (Mike) Wix of In., Nita (Steve) Campbell of Prestonburg, and Sylvia Davidson of Glasgow; four sons, Bobby (Sue) Hicks, Louie (Karen) Hicks, Paul (Sondra) Hicks and Roger (Charity) Hicks all of In., one brother, Glenn Hicks of In., 20 grandchildren and several great and great, great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Luzadie Hicks, one son, Roy Hicks, one brother and two sisters.
Funeral services will be Saturday, July 28 at 1:00 PM at the McMurtrey Funeral Home with Bro. Dexter Bacon officiating. Burial will follow in the Beaumont Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday, July 27 at 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Conner Allen Proffitt, age 3 months, died Monday, April 2 at Kosair Hospital in Louisville.
He is survived by his parents, Timmy Proffitt and Amanda Lynn Dick; one brother, Tristen Proffitt and a sister, Reece Proffitt.
Other survivors include, grandparents, Ricky and Janet Proffitt of Summer Shade and Eva and Timothy Dick of Colunbia; great grandparents, Geraldine Dick, Junior and Oma Proffitt and Cora Stacy; aunts, Michelle, Heather, Leslie Dick and Bridgett (Shane) Dodson.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Sidney Proffitt, great grandparents, Henry Stacy, Junior Carl Dick and Arthur and Dorothy Vaughn.

James Alexander (Jaw) Wilson
James Alexander (Jaw) Wilson, age 87 of Glasgow, formerly of Marrowbone, died Saturday, March 24 at Kindred Hospital in Louisville. He was a retired farmer and a son of the late Melvin and Carrie White Wilson. He was a WWII Veteran of the Army. He is survived by two daughters, Twona Wilson and Micha Wilson of Glasgow, two grandchildren, Todd and Jordan Pedigo. Two nieces and several cousins also survive.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a good friend Margaret Wilson, a daughter Mary Margaret Wilson, two brothers, Harley and Charlie Wilson and one sister, Effie Wilson.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 27 at 4:00 P.M. at the McMurtrey Funeral Home with Bro. Todd Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in the Marrowbone Cemetery. Visitation will begin Monday march 26 at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Ruby Lucille Dubree Norris, age 92 of Glasgow, entered into rest Monday, March 12 at T J Samson Community Hospital. She was a daughter of the late Arthur and Minnie Hume Dubree and was a member of the Refuge Church of Christ. She was a former employee of the late Drs. Dickinson.
She is survived by a dauaghter, Martha J. Johnson and husband, Randy G. of Glasgow; two grandchildren, Emily Grant Byrd and Alison Claire Johnson, both of Glasgow; two great grandchildren, Noah and Savannah Byrd; two sisters, Gladys (Bobby) Riddle and Joyce (Charles) Hammer both of In.; two brothers, Bedford Lee Dubree of Ohio and Joe Edward Dubree of Leitchfield.

Jimmy Rondal (Ronnie) McIntyre, age 69, of Summer Shade died Thursday, February 16 at his home. He was the son of the late Zeak and Vocal Humphrey McIntyre. Mildred June Rouse Richey, age 76 of Summer Shade, died Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Greenview Hospital. She was a daughter of the late Floyd Vern and Evie Claywell Berrryman. She was a member of the Corinth Baptist Church. She was a housewife and enjoyed playing the piano and singing.

Oshea Ann Huff, age 87 of the Willow Shade Community, died Sunday, Jan. 1, 2012 at her home. She was a daughter of the late N.C. and Sally Shaw Hurt and wife of the late Ray Huff. She was a member of the Oak Hill Church of Christ.
She is survived by four daughters, June (Steve ) Haley, Margaret (Lowell) Embry, Susie (Walter) Cox and Shirley (Raymond) Crick all of Indiana; two sons, David (Joan) Huff of Willow Shade and Jerry (Teri) Huff of Indiana; two sisters, Della Strode and Minnie Pearl Bryant both of Tompkinsville; fifteen grandchildren, twenty eight great grandchildren and two great,great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Buddy Hurt , one sister, Hilda Lynn, three grandsons, Jason Huff, Robert Embry and Jeff Morrison and two great, great grand-children.
Funeral serices will be Thursday, Jan.5 at 1:00 P.M. at the McMurtrey Funeral Home with Bro. Lewis Blythe officiating. Burial will follow in the Harvey Cemetery in Willow Shade.
Visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M. Thursday and continue until funeral time.
Memorials may be made to the Harvey Cemetery.
She is survived by four daughters, June (Steve ) Haley, Margaret (Lowell) Embry, Susie (Walter) Cox and Shirley (Raymond) Crick all of Indiana; two sons, David (Joan) Huff of Willow Shade and Jerry (Teri) Huff of Indiana; two sisters, Della Strode and Minnie Pearl Bryant both of Tompkinsville; fifteen grandchildren, twenty eight great grandchildren and two great,great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Buddy Hurt , one sister, Hilda Lynn, three grandsons, Jason Huff, Robert Embry and Jeff Morrison and two great, great grand-children.
