MICHAEL GEORGE EDWARD GARRETT

Michael George Edward Garrett, age 48 of Summer Shade, died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012 at his home. He was as son of the late Paul and Mary Gentry Garrett and was an employee of Dana Corp. for twenty four years and retired from Green  Mechanical.  He attended Crossland Community Church.
He is survived by his wife, Jamie Gentry Garrett;  one son Travis Coe Garrett of Summer Shade, one step son, Dillian Potts of Greensburg;  four brothers, Steve (Sandy) Garrett of Bowling Green, Kenny (Cheryl) Garrett of Mt. Hermon,  Mark (Alecia) Garrett of Summer Shade and Anthony Garrett of Glasgow;  two sisters, Rendy (Ronnie Joe) Perkins of Glasgow and Marketta Acree of Edmonton; his father and mother in law, Donnie and Betty Gentry of Greeensburg and brother and sister in law, Chris and Melinda Gentry of Union,Ky.  several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Robbie Garrett and his maternal grandparents, Edward and Matry Gentry and his paternal grandparents, Henry and Media Garrett.
Funeral services will be Friday, Oct.at 1:00 PM at the McMurtrey Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Summer Shade Cemetery.Visitation will begin Thursday, Oct. 4 at 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
