Charles J Hatton,
age 87, of Edmonton ,
died October 13, 2014, at his home.
He was born May 30, 1927, in Hazzard , Kentucky .
He was a son of the late Vernie (Harper) and Charlie Hatton and the husband of
the late Shelba Jean (Williams) Hatton. He worked as a coal miner, was of the
Christian faith, and was an Army veteran.
He is survived by
one daughter, Barbara (Randall) Bowling, Edmonton; three sons Kenneth (Ruth) Hatton, Edmonton, Troy (Melinda) Hatton, Indianapolis and Matt Hatton,
Indianapolis; ten grandchildren, Charles
Hatton, Kenneth Hatton, Stephanie Hatton, Chris Abrams, Christie Hatton,
Tiffany Hatton, Elizabeth Hatton, Jessica Hatton, Allen Bowling, and Dustin
Bowling; and one great grandchild, Xavier Stephans.
He was preceded in
death by his parents, his wife, two sisters, Marie Cardwell and Orie Hatton and
five brothers, Walter, Evert, J T, Raymond, and Lynn Hatton.
Funeral services
will be Wednesday, October 15, 2014, at 2:00 PM at McMurtrey Funeral Home, with
Brother Mark Parke officiating and burial to follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery
in Metcalfe County .
Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM at the funeral home and
will continue until time of the service.
