FRANCES (FRAN) PATTERSON HODGE


   Frances (Fran) Mae Patterson Hodge, age 72, of Glasgow, died November 16, 2014, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Ky.
   Born September 28, 1941 in Metropolis, IL, she was the daughter of the late Dollie Tapley and Claude (Pat) Patterson, and the wife of Ray Hodge, who survives. They were married for 53 years.
   She was a housewife and of the Protestant faith.
   Survivors in addition to her husband, include one daughter, Sherry Anderson, Glasgow; one granddaughter Lastachia Houchens; three great grandchildren; one brother, Chuck Patterson, Paducah, and one half brother Gene Enman, Metropolis, IL.
   Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at 1:00 PM at the McMurtrey Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the White Cemetery in Monroe County. Visitation will begin Monday, November 17, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the funeral home and Tuesday after 7 until time of services.

   Memorials are suggested to the DAV chapter 20 and can be left at the funeral home.

LESTER VENIS HAGAN


   Lester Venis Hagan, age 101, of Burkesville, died November 4, 2014 at the Cumberland County Hospital.
   He was born September 14, 1913, in Tompkinsville. He was a son of the late Arthur and Susan Brown Hagan and the husband of the late Bina Johnson Hagan.
   He was a concrete finisher and a farmer, and of the Church of Christ faith.
   He is survived by one daughter, Beverly Hagan, of Burkesville: one sister, Iva Copeland, Mooresville, Indiana; 10 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
   He was preceded in death, besides his wife and parents, by one son, Larry Hagan, two daughters, Inell Estep and Elsie Muse; three sisters, three brothers, and 2 great grandchildren.
   Funeral services will be November 7, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the McMurtrey Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Mud Camp Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, Friday, November 7, 2014, and continue until time of funeral services.

  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to help with funeral expenses.

Velma Rachele (Lollar) Cross

Velma Rachele (Lollar) Cross, age 66 of Scottsville died November 4, 2014 at the Medical Center in Scottsville.
 She was born June 19, 1948 in Summer Shade to the late James Sammie and Mable Odell (Humes) Lollar.
She was a nurse and a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by four sisters Exie Vance and Barbie Lollar of Summer Shade, Linda Arnett of Tompkinsville and Donna (Tom) White of Celina. Four brothers William Lollar, Mitchell (Wanda) Lollar of Summer Shade, Ricky (Joyce) Lollar of Glasgow and Chris (Cindy) Lollar of Edmonton. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceeded in death by three brothers in laws, Jack Harris, Vechel Vance and Jerry Arnett.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 8, 2014 from 9:00 till 1:00 P.M. at the McMurtrey Funeral Home as cremation was chosen. Burial will follow in the Gee Harvey Cemetery.

Linda Carol Stone


Linda Carol Stone, age 54 of Glasgow died Sunday, November 2, 2014 at Glenview Health Care.
Born March 18, 1960 in Randolph, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Sam and Hazel Muncie Stone. She was a homemaker and of the Jehovah’s Witness faith.
She is survived by one sister Brenda Stone of Glasgow and four brothers, Roger Stone of Kino, Roy Stone of Edmonton, Clifton Stone of Lexington and Donnie Stone of Glasgow. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents she was preceeded in death by brothers Jody, Marshall, Mitchell and Vechel Stone and William Muncie and two sisters Velma Branham and Louise Stone.
Funeral services will be Wednesday – November 5, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at the McMurtrey Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Randolph Cemetery.
Visitation will begin after 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday November 4 at the funeral home
