Marilyn Faye
Lohden Staples, age 71, of Glasgow , died
Thursday, June 16, 2016, at the Medical
Center in Bowling Green , Ky.
Born January 3,
1945 in Glasgow ,
she was a daughter of the late Albert Henry and Betty Maxine (Cross) Lohden, and
the widow of the late J.P. Staples.
She was a retired
school bus driver of 24 years and an industrial painter. She was of the Baptist
faith.
Survivors include
two daughters, Sue (Mark) Elmore, Glasgow and Charmaine (Eddie) Parsley,
Glasgow; one step daughter, Faye (Larry) Green, Glasgow; one sister, Judy
(Lonnie Wayne) Winchester, Edmonton; one brother, Danny (Rhonda) Lohden,
Edmonton; two grandsons, Brock and John Elmore, Glasgow; one step grandson,
Edward Parsley, Greensburg; three step grand daughters, Deanna Parsley, Traci
Lyn Green, and Melody (Scott) Jones; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded
in death by her husband and parents.
Funeral services
will be Sunday, June 19, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at the McMurtrey Funeral Home.
Burial will follow at Happy Valley Memorial
Gardens , in Glasgow .
Visitation will be
Saturday, June 18, 2016, from 1:00-8:00 p.m. and on Sunday, June 19, 2016 after
8:00 a.m. until time of services.
In lieu of flowers
memorials may be made to Hospitality House of Bowling Green at the funeral
home.
