Amy Jewell Cyphers
Adams, age 92, of Summer Shade, died Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at NHC in Glasgow.
Born September 21,
1924, in Burkesville, Kentucky she was a daughter of the late
George Tracy and Vestie Colson Cyphers and the widow of the late Billie Adams,
who died September 6, 1997.
She retired from
Eli Lilly in Indianapolis, IN and was a member of the Cyclone Church of
Christ.
Survivors, include
one daughter, Pam (Ronnie) Ferguson, Red Boiling Springs, TN; one son, Mike
(Debbie) Adams, Lenoir City, TN; three grandsons, Christopher Michael and
Stephan Ryan, both of Knoxville, TN and Billy Ralph Ferguson, Red Boiling
Springs, TN; and five great grandchildren, Chandler Seth Reece and Haley,
Nicholas, Hunter and Hayden Adams.
She was preceded in
death by one grand daughter, Amy Dean Ferguson; two brothers, Bill and Barlow
Cyphers; three sisters, Ruby Smith, Magdeline Wright and Ida Belle Simpson; and
one half brother Kelly Cyphers.
Funeral services
will be Friday, May 5, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the McMurtrey Funeral Home, with
Brother Larry Hafley officiating. Burial will follow in the Scott Cemetery
in Cumberland County. Visitation will be Friday, May
5, 2017 from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., time of the service.
In lieu of flowers
memorials may be made to the Scott
Cemetery.
