Jack Wayne Gibbons

 

   Jack Wayne Gibbons, age 86, of Summer Shade, KY passed away Sunday, March 14, 2021 at the University of Louisville Hospital.

   Born April 23, 1934 in Edmonton, he was the son of the late Florence (McFarland) and Lonza Gibbons and the husband, of 51 years, of Martha Traylor Gibbons, who survives.

He attended Summer Shade Missionary Baptist Church and was a United States Army veteran.

   Survivors other than his wife include one niece, Carol (Charles) Jean Shirley, Colombia; sister in law Anna Wilson, Glasgow and her daughters, Debbie (Johnny) Ritter, and Sue Lewis, both of Glasgow.

   He was preceded in death besides his parents by one sister, Atrice Estes.

   Private funeral services will be held with burial to be in the Summer Shade Cemetery.

   In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Summer Shade Fire Department.
