Mary Ann DeWeese, 55, of Edmonton, KY passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at T.J. Samson Hospital Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY.  She was born on March 18, 1969 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Remus Capps and Barbara Neal Thurman.

She loved spending time with her family and friends.

 She is survived by her husband, Chris DeWeese of Edmonton, KY; two daughters, Brandi Fuller of Scottsville, Taylor DeWeese of Clarksville, TN; two sons, Corey DeWeese of Edmonton and Charles Thurman of Adair County; Grandchildren, Orin Fuller, Lillee Thurman, Cairo Hawk and Roman Hawk; One brother, Charles Capps of Glasgow, KY

 In honor of Mrs. DeWeese wishes, cremation was chosen by the family, with no services to be held at this time. McMurtrey Funeral Home is assisting the family with their choice.

Helen D. Bowman

 



Helen D. Bowman, 80, of Tompkinsville, KY passed away Saturday, October 26, 2024, at the Monroe County Medical Center in Tompkinsville, KY. She was born on September 27, 1944, to the late Clayton and Effie Dubree Humes.

Mrs. Bowman was a member of Hagans Grove Baptist Church, and she enjoyed traveling and spending time with her friends and family.

She is survived by her loving husband, Joe Billy Bowman of Tompkinsville, KY; three children, Jerry Bowman of Tompkinsville, KY, Anita Petett (Joe) of Edmonton, KY,  and Joseph Bowman (Kelli) of Tompkinsville, KY; grandchildren, Kelsey Harlan (Grayson), Kaley Dillard (Tyler), Ember Bowman, Kole Bowman, and Asher Bowman; great grandchildren, Slade Harlan, Axton Harlan, Raine Harlan, and Atalie Dillard; sister, Joyce Kerr (Jerry) of Tompkinsville, KY; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a great grandson, Nash Harlan and ten siblings, Harlie, Ralph, Roy, Robert, and Rondal Humes, Odell Lollar, Stella Shaw, Hazel Paul, Ida Self, and Geraldean Bowman.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at McMurtrey Funeral Home with burial in the Skaggs Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00pm until 8:00pm Monday, October 28, 2024, and will continue Tuesday until time for the service at McMurtrey Funeral Home.

Micky Eugene Russell

 


Micky Eugene Russell, 58, of Tompkinsville, KY passed away Thursday, October 24, 2024, in Louisville KY. He was born April 29, 1966, in Tompkinsville KY. He was a member of Hagans Grove Baptist Church and attended Bethlehem Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and spending time with his family and friends.

 He is preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Dubree Russell.

 He is survived by his parents, Gloria and Roger Jenning, of Tompkinsville, KY; his children, Brandon Russell of Tompkinsville, KY, Brandi Crowe of Temple Hill, KY, Brittany Crowe of Tompkinsville, KY; grandchildren, A.J. Ludwick, Brooklyn Scott, Jace Scott, Eden Crowe; siblings, Brandy Biggerstaff of Tompkinsville, KY, Dewayne Jennings (Diana) of Mt. Hermon, KY, Freddie Jennings of Gamaliel, KY, Angie White (Freddie) of Tompkinsville, KY, Betty Bown (Joe) of Summer Shade, KY, Melvin Norris of Indiana, Paul Norris (Stephanie) of Tompkinsville, KY and Sandra Ford of TN; and several nieces and nephews.

 Funeral services will be 1:00pm Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at McMurtrey Funeral Home with burial in the Skaggs Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at the funeral home from 4:00pm until 8:00pm and again on Wednesday until time for the service at the funeral home.

Jonathan Wayne Stewart

 



Jonathan Wayne Stewart, 50, of Tompkinsville, KY passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at the Medical Center at Bowling Green. He was born in Tompkinsville, KY on December 3, 1973, to the late James Wesley Stewart and Barbara Sue Copas Stewart (Ronald Finn) of Tompkinsville, KY who survives 

Mr. Stewart enjoyed working on cars, taking road trips, antique shopping and spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his mom, he is survived by his wife Mildred Pennington Stewart; two sons Aaron Stewart (Jacob Zumfelde) and Dakota Stewart both of Tompkinsville, KY; four siblings Jessie Riley (Luke) of Tompkinsville, KY, Lisa Stewart (Tim Rowe) of Scottsville, KY, Tony Stewart of Russellville, KY, and Brian “Slick” Duggan of Gamaliel, KY and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm Monday, October 28, 2024, at McMurtrey Funeral Home with burial in the Basil Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday after 10:00am at McMurtrey Funeral Home. 

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.

Cynthia Marie Fender


 Our beloved Wife, Mother, Aunt, Nana, and Friend, Cynthia (Cindy) Fender, born August 19, 1954, passed away on October 19, 2024 at the age of 70, surrounded by family after a brief illness with cancer.

Cindy was the heart of our home and family. Cindy always put God first in her life. She was the kindest, most selfless woman, leaving a lasting impression on everyone that knew her. Cindy was always happiest when talking and spending time with family and of course spoiling her grandchildren.

Cindy was known for her kind heart and strong and unshakable faith in God. As the heart and soul of our family she will be dearly missed. She will always be remembered as the best of us all. At Cindy’s request there will not be any services. She loved it when family and friends gathered to visit and eat so she wanted us to have a family and friends gathering to celebrate her life. As her last request she wanted all her loved ones to accept Jesus into their life so she could see them again.

Cindy was preceded in death by her Grandparents; Mary and Joseph, Mother; Theresa Pulitano, Father; Antonio Pulitano, Sister; Antonia Belli, Brother; Dennis Lamantia, In laws; Raliegh and Mary Lee Fender

Cindy is survived by her Husband of 40 years Mike, Sons; Joseph (Jill) Ferrone, Mickey (Jeannie) Fender, Jon (Mary) Fender Bonus Sons; Chris (Leslie) Roberts, Alton (Shawna) Metcalf. Grandchildren; Matthew, Mikey, Makayla, AJ, and Peyton. Brother; Michael Pulitano, Sister; Lori Mangarillo, Bonus Mother; Marilyn Pulitano, Nieces; Linda Marie and Rosemarie Belli, Nephews; Richard Belli, Damon Carroll, Aunt; Domenica Cimino, Cousin; Robert Cimino, Sammy Barbella and Bill. Great Nieces and Nephews; Jessica, Richard, Michael, Josh, Taylor, Cassidy, Hendrix, Kaila, Thorin, William, Callum, Ryan, Gina, Victoria, Joseph, Maisle, Islo, and soon to be Theodore. Welby Jan Leftwich Sandidge

 


Welby Jan Leftwich Sandidge, 85, of Edmonton, KY passed away Saturday, October 19, 2024, at the Shanti Niketan Hospice Home in Glasgow, KY. He was born in Oroville, CA on August 20, 1939, to the late Welby Lee and Caroline Isabelle Leftwich Sandidge. He was also preceded in death by his wife Susan Lyon Sandidge and a brother Robert Sandidge.

Mr. Sandidge was a member of the Willow Shade Church of Christ and the International Union of Operating Engineers. He enjoyed farming, beekeeping and spending time with his family and friends. 

Survivors include two daughters Lori Walton (Shane) of Glasgow, KY and Jan Sandidge of Edmonton, KY; a son Donald Sandidge (Francisca) of Edmonton, KY; two granddaughters Stephanie Gilpin (Andrew) of Summer Shade, KY and Allie Walton of Glasgow, KY; a great granddaughter Lilabet Gilpin; a brother Donald Wayne Sandidge (Mary Lee) of Edmonton, KY and several other friends and relatives.

Funeral services will be at 1:00pm Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at McMurtrey Funeral Home with burial in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 6:00-8:00pm and will continue Tuesday morning at 8:00am at McMurtrey Funeral Home. 

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Pleasant Hill Cemetery and can be left at the funeral home.

Maxie Leroy Ritter

 


Maxie Leroy Ritter, 76, of Glasgow, KY passed away Friday, October 18, 2024, at T. J. Samson Community Hospital. He was born on May 20, 1948, in Barren County to the late Corbin and Lillie Peers Ritter.

Mr. Ritter was a member of the Lick Branch Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was an avid University of Kentucky Basketball fan and enjoyed watching his granddaughters play softball and spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include a daughter Casey Bilbrey (Bobby) of Glasgow, KY; two granddaughters Erin and Hadley Bilbrey of Glasgow, KY; the mother of his daughters Merl Ritter of Glasgow, KY; three sisters Joyce Shaw of Bowling Green, KY, Vonda Oliver of Glasgow, KY, and Glenda Gassaway of Smithville, TN and several nieces and nephews. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Dana Jill Ritter and six siblings Dee Ritter, Ruth England, Alyne Smith, Anis Parrish, Betty New, and Velma Hurt.

Funeral services will be at 2:00pm Monday, October 21, 2024, at McMurtrey Funeral Home with burial in the Lick Branch Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10:00am Monday at McMurtrey Funeral Home.

Carlie Wilson Key

Carlie Wilson Key, age 86, of Mt Hermon KY, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2024, at Signature Healthcare of Glasgow. Carlie was born in Bugtussle, KY on March 8, 1938, to the late John Thomas and Annie England Key.

 

There will be a private graveside burial in the Bethlehem Cemetery.

 

McMurtrey Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Bonnie Lee Debiak

 


Bonnie Lee Debiak, age 76, of Glasgow KY, passed away Wednesday October 2, 2024, at her residence. Bonnie was born in Wilkinsburg Pennsylvania on October 23, 1947, to the late Thomas and Alice Redfern Tucker.

 

Bonnie enjoyed spending her time going to church, traveling with her church group, spending time with her children and grandchildren, crafting, and crossword puzzles.

 

Survivors include her loving husband of 56 years, Glenn Debiak; children, Matthew (Meagan), Mark (Beth), Joshua (Brianne), and Luke (Kaylin) Debiak; grandchildren, Rosalee, Lily, Eve, Kaylee-Rose, Maddox, Paxton, Gracen, Avery, and Bennett Debiak; and her brother, Tim Tucker.

 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one grandson, Casey James Debiak.

 

Funeral services for Bonnie will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 7, 2024, at McMurtrey Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, October 6, 2024, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Monday until time for the service.
