Gary Neal "Skeets" Biggerstaff

 


Gary Neal “Skeets” Biggerstaff, age 76, of Sumer Shade, KY, passed away Monday, July 22, 2024, at TJ Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY. He was the son of the late Woody and Dolly “Biggerstaff” Thomas. Gary was a trucker for the logging industry for many years.

 

Gary loved spending his time restoring IH tractors, fishing, and gardening.

 

Survivors include his loving wife, Connie “Fletcher” Biggerstaff; his son, Brian Biggerstaff (Katherine); grandchildren, Ashli Kale (Aaron Crain), Ethan Biggerstaff (Rebekah), Logan Biggerstaff (Makayla), Adam Philpott (Tessa); great-grandchildren, Samuel Kale, Kaitlynn Kale, Kailee Kale, Atom Kale, Abigail Biggerstaff, Matthew Bellaire, Jacob Bellaire, Nicolas Bellaire, Caden Rose, Aubree Rose, Benton Price; sisters, Becky Burns (Phil), Floranell Copas (Doug); daughter-in-law, Kandy Biggerstaff; brother-in-law, Jackie Fletcher (Mary); nieces, Jennifer, Mary, Loretta, Teresa; and nephews, Matthew Fletcher, Daniel Fletcher, Chris Blythe, Andy Blythe, Denny Biggerstaff, Rondal Biggerstaff, Ronnie Biggerstaff.

 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Jerry Biggerstaff; his grandson, Aaron Philpott; his brothers, John Biggerstaff, and George Biggerstaff.

 

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, July 25, 2024, at the McMurtrey Funeral Home with burial in the White Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 24, 2024, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and again on Thursday morning until time for the service at the funeral home.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Kidney Fund. 


Ronnie Eugene Bryant

 


Ronnie Eugene Bryant, age 72, of Tompkinsville KY, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2024, at NHC Healthcare in Glasgow, KY. Ronnie is the son of the late Melinda Bryant. Ronnie was a self-employed logger for many years.

 

Survivors include his stepdaughter, Patricia Copas, his uncles, Lovel Bryant, Omer Bryant (Helen), Joe Wayne Bryant (Margie), and several nieces and nephews.

 

The funeral service for Ronnie will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at the McMurtrey Funeral Home with burial in the Old Mt. Hermon Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 23, 2024, from 10:00 am until time for the service at the funeral home.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Old Mt. Hermon Cemetery.

Penny Gayle Page-Rush

 


Penny Gayle Page-Rush, 62, of Summer Shade, KY passed away Friday, June 28, 2024, at her home in Summer Shade. She was born September 11, 1961, in Glasgow, KY, to the late Kenneth Elmer Page and Bonnie Ruth “Edwards” Page, who survives. Penny loved crafting and making Christmas decorations. She also enjoyed collecting purses, ink pens, and spoiling her nieces and nephews.

 

She is survived by her mother Bonnie Ruth “Edwards” Page; daughter Brittney Gutenson; grandchildren Kyia Hope and Joseph Gutenson; one sister Terri Haney; one brother Rick Page; several nieces, nephews, and cousins that she adored and her first great niece due in four weeks, Joyce Ann Kuti.

 

Besides her father she was preceded in death by her husband Mark Rush; brother Todd Page; and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

 

There was a private service held for Penny.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Summer Shade Volunteer Fire Department.
