Dale Allen Rowlett

 


Dale Allen Rowlett, 81, of Summer Shade, KY passed away Friday, August 2, 2024, at T. J. Samson Hospital in Glasgow, KY. He was born in Carrollton, KY on December 17, 1942, to the late Roy and Emma Horner Rowlett. He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years Myra Gail Whitlow Rowlett.

 

Mr. Rowlett was a member of the Summer Shade Baptist Church and the former owner and operator of the Summer Shade Service Station. He was also a member and former Chief of the Summer Shade Fire Department and enjoyed farming and spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

 

He is survived by three children Jeff Rowlett (Ann) of Edmonton, KY, Teresa Gray (Donnie) of Milltown, KY, and Myra Dubree (Greg) of Summer Shade, KY; eight grandchildren Nathan Rowlett (Sabrina), Marissa Rowlett, Greg Carlton (Amber), Amber Rowlett, Damien Mikel (Leslie), Bailey McClure, Tyler Dubree (Allison), and Jordan “Peanut” Harper (Lee) and twenty two great grandchildren; Two brothers David Rowlett (Sally) and Clyde Rowlett (Christy); a sister Marie Garrett and several nieces and nephews.

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Robert Clinton Rowlett, and two brothers Wesley Creed “WC” Rowlett and Bobby Joe Rowlett.

 

Funeral services will be 1:00pm Monday, August 5, 2024, at McMurtrey Funeral Home with burial in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1:00-8:00pm and will continue Monday from 8:00am until time for the service at McMurtrey Funeral Home.

I’m so sorry 😥 to hear this. I know his heavenly family was there to meet him. Prayers for his family that is left to mourn. May God give them strength to carry on. ❤️❤️🙏🙏❤️❤️

Teresa we are so sorry for your loss. We only knew Dale for a short while, but he was a wonderful person. He will be dearly missed.
