Michael Lynn McCoy

 

Michael Lynn McCoy, 70 of Tompkinsville, KY passed away on December 25, 2024, at Monroe County Medical Center. He was born on November 25, 1954, in Kino, KY to the late Charles William McCoy and Pernie Elizabeth Kingery McCoy.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Irene McCoy of Tompkinsville, and daughter Becky Lynn McCoy of Tompkinsville. Stepchildren, Stephanie Harper (Tommy), Stacy Casey (Jon), Steven Gibson (Kassie) Step-Grandchildren, Felisha, Tiffany, Kylie, Amber, Allen, Briley, Brooke, & Braden and four great step-grandchildren A brother, Charles McCoy (Sue) of Louisville. He is survived by brothers-in-law Jackie Geralds, Jerry Nash, Van Bryant, and Mike Bryant. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

He was a member of the Oak Hill Church of Christ.                                                                            

He loved to trade chickens.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Kay Geralds and two brothers, Kenneth and Randal McCoy.

Visitation will begin from 4:00-8:00 on Saturday, December 28 with the funeral at 2:00 on Sunday, December 29. The visitation and funeral will be held at McMurtrey Funeral Home in Summer Shade with Jackson Page and Lewis Blythe officiating. He will be buried in the Summer Shade Cemetery, Summer Shade, KY.
