Ted Arthur Garmon, 78, of Glasgow KY, passed away on January 16, 2025, at TJ Samson Community Hospital. He was born on June 19, 1946, to the late James Shelby and Maxine Hurt Garmon.
Ted loved hunting, crappie fishing, and being outdoors. He served two years in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War era. He was stationed for 18 months at Headquarters, 97th General Hospital, Frankfurt, Germany. Ted worked as a Tool and Die maker at SKF for 34.5 years.
Survivors include his wife, Janis Davis Garmon; two sons, TJ Garmon of Owensboro and Wayne Garmon (Ruth Ann) of Glasgow; brother, Jerry Mac Garmon (Peggy Gittings) of Edmonton; grandchildren, Kristen Lyle, Lindsey Garmon, Haylee Garmon, and Nicholas Garmon; great grandchildren, Khloe Brown and Bella Tyler Lyle; nephews, Chase Garmon and Jason Garmon.
He was preceeded in death by his parents and one brother, Jimmy Garmon.
Services will be held at 2:00pm Sunday, January 19, 2025, at McMurtrey Funeral Home with burial in the Beaumont Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, January 18, 2025, from 4:00pm until 8:00pm and after 10:00am Sunday until time for the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Beaumont Cemetery Fund.
